FEMA's Elevation Certificate and Occupational Safety & Health Concerns **Home Study**

This course is a two part course based on two Federal Programs. The first 4 hours of the course is an introduction to the NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM and the FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA). The course is a condensed version of our full 8 hour course and covers when and why FEMA was formed, use of Acronyms, National Flood Insurance Act of 1968, as amended, the Elevation Certificate and instructions for completing certificate.

The second 4 hour part is a condensed version of our full 8 hour Occupational Safety and Health Concerns. Topics covered are an introduction to the OSHA’s standards, a four-point workplace program, safety and health record keeping, safety and health management system, exposure records and others.

The course is designed to give the participant exposure to both Federal Programs with a basic understanding of each.
